Somebody help me sew! |

Ok sewing chicks, I had to change thread colors on my sewing machine this morning and now when I run a stich it "hits and misses". I'm not sure
if I threaded the bobbin wrong or what. It will run about 6 or 8 stitches and then the thread through the needle stops "catching" the bobbin thread.
What the hell did I do?!

I wish I knew more, Darci. I have a sort of vintage Singer mini (not sure the exact model name), but I haven't used it in a couple of years, and am a
novice at best as far as using it goes.
There's got to be a website with instruction for stuff like this.

Up late doing homework (school started Monday last week again).
Anyway, usually when that happens on sewing machines it's either a)lint not allowing the needle to catch the bobbin thread - so open the lower section and use an air blower can or b)the thread has been put in the opposite direction or not wound properly. Other than that I wouldn't know what else it could be. Those are the 2 I personally know of from when I've sewn. Good luck!

The needle is brand new.....I just put it in about a week ago. I did the re-threading and changed the bobbin. The problem is fixed now, and I think the culprit
was the bobbin. I had several extra bobbins in my Gram's sewing basket and I thought they were all the same. Not so. I had the wrong bobbin altogether.
Thanks for the help everyone.....the quilt I am making for Sage's birthday is almost done!!!
