Ok, I'm just learning about the band "X". I know of John Doe from his SugarTown appearance, and I've downloaded a few of his songs.

Can anybody help me out with some X tunes? Either to download or get me a copy of?

I'm planning to go see them play at a little dive on Saturday night....and I want to be somewhat familiar with the tunes.

I'm so jealous you're getting to see them! I thought of you when I saw they were playing near you.

I'm new to them as well, actually, but with my new job I've become more familiar with some of their tracks.
I would check out the following (my comments are in parenthesis) :

Blue Spark (my favorite)
Burning House of Love
Devil Doll
House I Call Home
Johnny Hit & Run Pauline
See How We Are (I think you'll know this one, as it was given lots of airplay back in the late 80s)
White Girl (love this one)

If I had any of these songs I would send them to you, but alas, I do not.

All stressed out and no one to choke.

Chris! I have the whole X anthology! I've seen Exene and the guys about 5 times, I'M A HUGE FAN!!!! I had no idea anyone here liked them (Sunshine, I should have known!) but they used to play them on WLIR...

Anyway, I'll upload the Anthology onto this computer and try You Send It....

When are you going to see them?

With Easter and job hunting, I've slacked on sending CD2! I plan to do so tonight, okay? I've been having some whack issues with the computer. Congiguration error 0162... I have NO idea what it means but it's pissing me OFF!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it to the show. No sitter and nobody to go with me. The only person I would have known at the show was the one girl from my derby league who makes my skin crawl, and I know she would have glommed onto me and not left me alone the whole night. If I had someone else to go with, not a big deal. But to be there alone was just tempting fate. I'd rather have missed the show than to deal with the repurcussions of breaking a bottle over her head.

I'm bummed, but atleast I can rock out to them at home thanks to you!
