So....I want people to recommend to me their fave song, a special song (doesn't have to be a new song) or whatever and I will hunt it down and put it on my purdy green ipod
A little ttpr playlist.

We still Trust The Process, we're just doing it on our own damned board.

So...I finally got an ipod. I basically had no way of listening to music anymore after my stereo and my *gasp* discman both collapsed after years of overuse.
Actually the discman took an unfortunate swim....

Darci - I love Stevie Wonder. You know I have 3 versions of Salt in the Rainbow on my ipod and that always makes me smile. Cristina - I haven't listened to Souxie for years. Nice one. Pam - are you sure there's not a message there? Mousie - don't know them, so thank you! |

Aw, Salt in the Rainbow still reminds me of all of us sitting on B's porch that night. What a great memory.

Just one??? I've been mulling this over, and I can't just do one. How about two?
Okay, yes, this song is getting loads of radio airplay in the US, but you've gotta hear it, Mel! "A-Punk" by Vampire Weekend and another maybe not so well known song (sad attempt to keep up my cred) : "Following Waves" by French Kicks (I think the following may be a clip, but I'm not sure... might be full length) http://www.startimerecords.com/mp3s/frenchkicks/FollowingWaves.mp3 (right-click / "save as")

Anything off of Mika's CD Life in Cartoon Motion has been playing over and over for me. Big Girl (You are Beautiful) is loads of fun!
I'm also very fond of Under the Influence of Giants CD. Mama's Room and In the Clouds are great! The whole CD is great. I've got two credits for Itunes downloads, I might check out some of the recommendations here Have fun with the new Ipod! |

mousektear wrote: Exactly! Nevermind the fact that the song is crazy addictive and just a nice, feel-good tune. I imagine it'd be fun to hear it pumping out of a big
50s style convertible cruisin' down Ventura Blvd. on a sunny afternoon.

HEY! I like some country, too! (In fact, I have the Willie Nelson box set.......I grew up in a house with country music.) Willie, Waylon, Hank, Dolly, Loretta,
Patsy, all of them.
NEW country, however, SUCKS! Gimmee the stuff from the 1950's through the mid 1980's. That's some good tunes, Bubba! Hoist the Colors! |

Yay, Melanie!
Ok, still in love with The Infadels! Try "Reality TV" or "Jagger '67" or "Give Yourself to Me". LOVE those! I also heart Under the Influence of Giants! "Stay Illogical" is a fave of mine! And you have to put Finger 11's "Paralyzer" on your iPod. You just have to.

I would like to suggest Everybody Knows by Concrete Blonde. It's a remake, but a very haunting lyric and a great showcase for Johnette Napolitano's
voice.
For something totally frivolous, might I suggest Monty Python's Lumberjack Song.
