I hope this will work out for you, Nicole. I just had some trouble with my bank and I actually got it handled over the phone. The Saturday before last, I
deposited my check via the ATM. The company's check even used the same bank as me. Well, I requested a receipt at the end of the transaction and the thing
said it was out of paper. Sunday I didn't check on anything, I had no reason to feel anything was up. Monday night I checked my account online and the
deposit wasn't showing. I thought it was weird but I kinda schluffed it off again. Tuesday night I check again online and my account had been overdrawn by
$130, $70 being overdraft fees!!! I was LIVID!!!!
I called spoke with a rep, was put on hold, spoke to her boss, was put on hold AGAIN, spoke to the boss' boss and he told me that they had no record of my deposit! I was like, "Well, I'll be at my local back branch tomorrow and there BETTER be a record of a deposit because I made a deposit, dammit!" He told me that he had to turn my issue over to Disputes and an investigator would contact me in 5 days. I was like, "There's NO dispute! I deposited a check on Saturday, it should be on video and I won't wait another day for my money." I also told them that I expected to have the overdraft fees taken care of because I used my account with faith that my money was there, you know... Anyway, short story-- the VERY next day, Wachovia sent a corrected deposit slip, HANDWRITTEN by a regional manager in Washington, DC which included the overdraft fees.
